West Point Christian School
Home Education With a Solid Foundation
With West Point, You've Got Options
WPCS respects every parent’s right to educate their child by whatever methods they deem appropriate. We understand that some parents do not believe that tests, whether in the home or through outside agencies, are appropriate for children; and that with some teaching methods, regular reporting of curriculum and grades is not feasible. We, however, consider our integrity to be of the utmost importance and will not issue official school documents (with our seal and signature) without at least a minimum amount of verification for the education that a child has received.
To reconcile this problem and accommodate all families who seek enrollment, we have established separate guidelines for those who wish to receive official school documents and for those who do not. We have distinguished these two groups by labeling them: Level 1 Enrollment - Full Enrollment, and Level 2 Enrollment - Partial Enrollment. Please carefully read the guidelines for both.
Level 1 - Full Enrollment
Orientation and Enrollment-
The parents of all new students must attend an orientation meeting.
There is a non-refundable new student registration fee of $25.00 which must be paid at the time of enrollment.
Annual enrollment may be done in person or by mail.
Tuition-
$150.00 per family, per year
Payable in 2 installments, due in August ($75.00) and January ($75.00)
We accept money orders and personal checks. Immediate reimbursement is expected for any charges incurred by the school for returned checks.
Refund Policy-
If you pay the entire tuition amount in August, but withdraw during the first semester, we will only refund the amount paid for the second semester ($75.00). Due to our budgeting schedule we cannot issue partial refunds for a semester based on how many months you were enrolled within that semester.
Attendance-
An attendance record of 160 days per school year (June-May) must be turned in each year for each child. Attendance records are due in May each year.
Prescribed Course of Study-
Parents will provide instruction in each of the following:
Mathematics
Science
Language Arts
Social Studies
Electives
Health
Physical Education
Bible Study or Character Training
Worldview Studies & Critical Thinking Skills
(at the high school level)
Course Reporting Forms (CRF) and Work Samples
Course Reporting Forms provide us with the information needed to complete transcripts. We do not require quarterly reports (report cards).
Turn in one CRF for each course when the course is completed. (You may be finishing 8th grade math and 10th grade English at the same time. That’s ok, just be sure to record the correct age/grade information on each CRF.)
Include 3 work samples with each CRF. These work samples should show the child’s progress through the course. (Example: take one sample from the beginning of the year, one from the middle, and one from the end.)
Complete transcripts cannot be issued for students until we receive the CRF with its accompanying work samples.
Please Note: There are additional requirements that must be met before we will issue a diploma.
IF YOU WILL NEED A DIPLOMA OR TRANSCRIIPT ISSUED AT THE END OF THE YEAR, ALL OF YOUR RECORDS MUST BE TURNED IN BY MAY 1ST OF THAT SCHOOL YEAR. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Level 2 - Partial Enrollment
Orientation and Enrollment-
The parents of all new students must attend an orientation meeting.
There is a non-refundable new student registration fee of $25.00 which must be paid at the time of enrollment.
Annual enrollment may be done in person or by mail.

Please Note:
Level 2 Enrollment is labeled “partial enrollment” for our recording purposes only. This does not in any way diminish the legality of your enrollment.
Should you decide to switch to Level 1 Enrollment, the Level 1 required records would have to be turned in for your previous years of enrollment. Without them we cannot prepare a transcript for your child or issue a diploma.
We recommend that all parents, but especially those who have chosen Level 2 Enrollment , read at least 1 general homeschooling (how to) book and 2 or 3 good books that focus on homeschooling through high school, creating transcripts, and recording options. Aside from the written information in the WPCS Optional Helps Pack and the materials in our library, no information or assistance will be provided by the school for the preparation of a Level 2 family’s documents.
